My favorite cafe in Osaka! Delicious food, cute space and nostalgic atmosphere. If you like to enjoy a nice comfy time this is the place for you. The decoration is also stunning, makes you feel like you’ve been teleported to a vintage kid’s book. Definitely recommend the visit!!

the atmosphere feels straight out of a magical storybook. you’ll definitely be surprised and mesmerized. the set and props are done so well, making the space feel both whimsical and homey. the food was just okay. it looked beautiful, but the flavors were quite ordinary. i had the pancake set, which is their bestseller, and also tried the matcha milk, which was a bit disappointing. still, it’s a very cozy spot to sit, chat, or get some work done. the setting is the real highlight, and i really enjoyed spending time there.

What a cool random find this was. It was a little tricky to find but that kind of made it all the more exciting. Opening the little wall chest was a nice little Touch that added to this very different kind of coffee experience. Absolutely love the creativity. Strongly recommend for any travellers passing through Osaka to come find this place

This cafe is such a charming and unique spot! The whimsical décor, inspired by classic picture books, makes it feel like you’ve stepped into a story. It’s a place that’s perfect for both kids and adults who want to enjoy a bit of nostalgia. For me, the highlight was the selection of board games. It’s such a brilliant addition and makes the café feel even more inviting, whether you’re visiting with friends or family. Pair that with the delicious food, and you’ve got the perfect place to relax and have fun. The owner’s passion shines through in every detail, from the décor to the welcoming vibe. It’s definitely a place I’d recommend to anyone looking for something special near Umeda!

Best place ever! Meals based on your favorite picture book classics such as The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Swimmy, Curious George and Where the wild things are. The cafeteria holds an amazing picture book collection organized in different categories, so if you're interested in illustration this is an important research venue. If you don't speak Japanese it could be kind of troublesome, but worry not. Here's some advice: 1) When you get there the staff will ask you how many persons will eat. Then they will give you a ticket for the current or the next available turn. 2) Once you are in your table you'll find the menu inside a wooden door. (The menu is only in Japanese, so, if you don't speak this language just go for it and have fun.) 3) You'll have to go to a small machine that stands in front of the kitchen. Here you'll find the name and price of each meal. Put the money inside first and then a green tick mark will glow over the meals that are available. 4) Push the button and give the ticket to the staff. Then just wait while you read some very beautiful books! I had the Very Hungry Caterpillar Plate which included a mini version of a hot dog, a hamburger, a pizza, rice, strawberry pudding, orange pie. cookies and fruits. It also included a small version of their famous Swimmy Soft Cream and a Mini Guri Pancake. (It's the second option on the menu. You can see it on the pictures I uploaded).
